Dainava 2007 Šokiu Kūrsai

Malūnas Home Lietuviu Tautiniu Šokiu Institutas		I placed the photos and videos in the order that I took them during the Kursai. I took videos with a Casio Exilim digital camera that has video capability. The quality is poor (360 x 360) and of course when you post it to YouTube, they compress it even further. The official Kūrsū DVD will be much better quality when it becomes available, but I figured these videos may give another angle or be helpful for me to get started right away. I also video'd entire lessons of some of the dances (hear the original teacher contradict themselves in their own words!) which if space permits, I may post in the future (it's very time consuming). Disclaimer : Some of these videos were of the dances as done in August 2007. Changes to the dances may be sent to the various instructors throughout the year, so do not assume this is the correct way the entire dance should be performed. Always check with your instructor before making any stupid comments like, "well on the video..." Likewise, during the taping some dancers did make mistakes. Please do not replicate their mistakes. Finally, do not try dancing these dances alone. These dances should only be attempted under the supervision of a professional instructor (or one who sounds like one) and with the support of your partner and seven other couples or so. LTSI takes no responsibility for anyone who breaks a leg dancing in klumpės, dropping a girl on her head in Kugiukas, losing a galukas in Rugučiai, or the circle of death in Malūnėlis.
